Terms of Service
1. Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and [operator] (“we”) for your use of KeepInventory. By creating an account or using KeepInventory, you agree to them. If you use KeepInventory for a business, you confirm you can accept these terms for that business.
2. Your account
Keep your password private, and tell us right away if you think someone else has used your account. You’re responsible for what happens under your account. A shop owner is responsible for the staff they invite and can remove them at any time.
3. Your data
You own the information you put into KeepInventory. You give us permission to store, copy and display it only as needed to run KeepInventory for you. You confirm you have the right to store the customer and staff information you enter, and you’ll handle it lawfully, including any notices or consent your customers are owed. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle data.
4. Acceptable use
Don’t use KeepInventory to break the law, to store data you have no right to hold, to send spam, or to harm others. Don’t try to get into accounts or shops that aren’t yours, interfere with the service, or probe it for weaknesses without our written permission. (If you find a security problem, please email us. We appreciate responsible reports.)
5. Not professional advice
KeepInventory helps with estimates, invoices, tax totals, payroll estimates and reports, but you’re responsible for checking them. Payroll figures are estimates, not payroll or tax filings. Vehicle details from VIN decoding come from a public database and may be incomplete. Confirm prices, tax rates and repairs before you rely on them.
6. Fees
If you’re on a paid plan, you agree to pay the fees we’ve agreed with you. We’ll give at least 30 days’ notice before changing your price. Unless the law requires otherwise, fees already paid aren’t refundable.
7. Availability and backups
We work to keep KeepInventory running and your data safe, but we can’t promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Data kept only on your device (a shop that isn’t online, and videos over 50 MB) is lost if that device or its browser data is lost. Make regular backups from Settings → Data and backups.
8. Ending your use
You can stop using KeepInventory at any time, and export or delete your data first. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or if we have to by law. Unless there’s an urgent risk, we’ll give you notice and a chance to export your data.
9. Disclaimers
To the extent the law allows, KeepInventory is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
10. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim about KeepInventory is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$100.
11. Changes to these terms
If we make a change that matters, we’ll tell you at least 30 days ahead by email or in the app. If you keep using KeepInventory after the change takes effect, you accept the new terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [state], USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located there, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
